Avocet House maintains outstanding judgement on integrated inspections

March 2013

Everyone at Avocet House was excited and pleased to be awarded another Outstandingjudgement on all inspection criteria in its integrated inspection in 2012. These are not our words but those of our “customers” who responded to Ofsted;

“Several placing authorities responded very positively to the pre-inspection questionnaire. They commented, ‘Avocet House has been a very positive learning experience for the young person. I view Avocet House as a centre of excellence and I rate them higher than any other establishment in the country”

“One parent commented that this overall provision is ‘the best to meet my child’s needs and my needs as a parent.”

“Many young people have come from dysfunctional backgrounds and contact may not have been happening at all. This is a major focus for this home and is summed up by a social worker who says the home view the family as part of the solution and not part of the problem”

“In terms of quality of care provided by this home one social worker commented ‘if your looking for excellence I’ve found it, I wish I could place all my young people here’.”
